Rishabh Pant narrowly escaped a fatal car accident on December 30, 2022 and is still recovering, although Pant is expected to play in IPL 2024. Meanwhile, Pant has revealed his painful mental condition after the car accident and has also told what he had gone through.

After the car accident, Rishabh Pant said in an interview held in Bengaluru :-

While talking about his future regarding cricket, Pant said:-

I told him That everyone is saying different things, but you can give me complete clarity about this. He said that it will take 16 to 18 months. I told the doctor that whatever time frame he gives me, I will take six months less. I will do it.”

Pant further said, “I am alive today because of Rajat Kumar and Nishu Kumar, who pulled me out of the SUV before it caught fire.” In a social-media post, Pant said he would be “forever grateful and indebted” to him.

Recalling those initial moments after the car accident, Pant said:-

Pant said that he was bedridden for about a month and was facing great difficulty in standing, walking and even doing normal work. Also, let us tell you that last February, he had posted a picture on social media of him taking his first step after the accident.
