Mark Boucher Forward To Replace Jayawardene As Head Coach Of Mumbai Indians
South Africa’s Mark Boucher is the frontrunner to replace Mumbai Indians head coach Mahela Jayawardene in the IPL. Simon Katich takes over as head coach at MI Cape Town in the SA20 league, with Hashim Amla appointed batting coach.
MI to take over as head coach in Cape Town:-
On Tuesday, ESPNcricinfo had reported that Boucher would take over as head coach at MI Cape Town in the SA20 league, but the latest update is that Simon Katich will fill that position.

In a media statement on Thursday, the Mumbai Indians group confirmed Katich’s appointment, saying he would be assisted by Hashim Amla as the batting coach, while Robin Pietersen would be the team’s general manager. James Payment will continue as fielding coach.
Katich is one of the most sought-after coaches in the T20 franchise circuit. He has worked in many IPL franchises.
