Rachin Ravindra surpasses Babar, Bairstow, Stokes to create new World Cup batting record

World Cup 2023 rising star Rachin Ravindra once again showcased his talent during New Zealand’s final group stage match against Sri Lanka in Bengaluru.

Rachin Ravindra surpasses Bairstow to get no.1 position :-

During his innings against Sri Lanka, Ravindra overtook England’s Jonny Bairstow in terms of runs scored in his first World Cup, who held the previous record with 532 runs in his first World Cup for England in 2019.

During his innings, Ravindra not only registered the record but also claimed the top spot in the list of highest run-scorers in the World Cup 2023. Ravindra achieved the top position by surpassing Quinton de Kock and Virat Kohli. However, both South Africa and India are yet to play their final group games in the tournament.
