Harbhajan On Sreesanth: After 14 years, Harbhajan reacted on the slap scandal, said- I am ashamed of that incident

New Delhi, Online Desk. Apart from the stormy innings of Brendon McCullum in the first season of IPL 2008, for which the most headlines were Harbhajan Singh middle ground slapping S Sreesanth. This incident shocked everyone. Now after a long gap of 14 years, former Indian bowler Harbhajan Singh has given his reaction to that incident. Harbhajan has accepted his mistake regarding this incident and said that he should not do this. Harbhajan was leading Mumbai Indians in the absence of Sachin Tendulkar in that match against Kings XI Punjab.

Harbhajan and Sreesanth joined together during a chat show at Glance Live Fest on Saturday. Harbhajan revealed how much ’embarrassment’ he felt about the incident. He continued, “What happened was wrong. I made a mistake. My teammate was put to shame because of me. If I had to correct a mistake, I would like to correct it. When I think about it, I think that there was no need for it.”

Harbhajan took 711 wickets in 367 international matches for India

Although both the cricketers were part of the 2011 World Cup winning Indian team after 3 years. Harbhajan took a total of 711 wickets in 367 international matches for India, while Sreesanth took 169 wickets in 90 international matches for his country.

However, a few days ago, Sreesanth had also given his reaction to this incident and told how Sachin Tendulkar had reconciled the two. He said that it all went well, thanks to Sachin paaji for this. Sachin said- You guys play in the same team (Team India), I said it is absolutely fine, I will go and meet them. We met and ate dinner the same night but the media took it to the next level.”
