WPL 2023: Mumbai Indians Fourth Consecutive Win, Beat UP Warriors; Harmanpreet and Natalie Siever’s Century Partnership

Mumbai Indians have secured their fourth consecutive win in the Women’s Premier League (WPL). They defeated UP Warriors by eight wickets at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday (March 12). With this win, Mumbai defeated all other teams participating in this tournament. He defeated Gujarat Giants, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals. They have become the first team to beat all the teams in the tournament.

UP Warriors captain Alyssa Healy won the toss and decided to bat first. UP scored 159 runs for six wickets in 20 overs. Mumbai won the match by scoring 164 runs for two wickets in 17.3 overs.

Stormy Innings of Herman and Natalie

Captain Harmanpreet Kaur played a blistering inning for Mumbai. He scored an unbeaten 53 off 33 balls. During this, Harmanpreet hit nine fours. A six also came out of his bat. Natalie Seaver Brunt remained unbeaten on 45 off 31 balls. Harmanpreet and Natalie Siever shared an unbeaten 106-run partnership for the third wicket. At the same time, Yastika Bhatia scored 42 runs off 27 balls. Healy Mathews could only score 12 runs off 17 balls. Rajeshwari Gaikwad and Sophie Ecclestone took one wicket each for UP.

Captain Alyssa Healy scored the highest 58 runs for UP. Tahlia McGrath played an inning of 50 runs. Kiran Navagire contributed 17 runs. Simran Sheikh scored nine, Dipti Sharma seven and Devika Vaidya scored six runs. Sophie Ecclestone could only score one run. Shweta Sehrawat remained unbeaten after scoring two runs. Sayka Ishaq took three wickets for Mumbai. Amelia Kerr had two successes. Hilly Mathews took a wicket.
