AFG vs PAK 1st T20: Afghanistan Beat Pakistan for the First time, took a 1-0 Lead in the Series, 38-Year-Old Nabi Shines

A three-match T20 series is being played between Pakistan and Afghanistan in Sharjah. Rashid Khan-led Afghanistan team defeated Pakistan by six wickets in the first T20 played on Friday. This is Afghanistan team’s first win over Pakistan in any format. On the other hand, in the T20 format, four T20s have been played between the two teams so far and Pakistan has won three matches, while Afghanistan has won one match.

Nabi Becomes Player of the Match

Batting first, Pakistan scored 92 runs losing nine wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Afghanistan achieved the target by losing four wickets in 17.5 overs. Mohammad Nabi given the Player of the Match award for his all-round performance. Pakistan team is playing without Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Afridi in this series.

Pakistan Innings

Batting first after winning the toss, Pakistan got off to a bad start. Mohammad Haris got out after scoring six runs, Abdullah Shafiq zero, Sam Ayub 17 runs, Tyeb Tahir 16 runs, Azam Khan zero. Five players of the team had returned to the pavilion on 41 runs. After this, Imad Wasim and Shadab Khan wanted to handle Pakistan’s innings by sharing a 19-run partnership, but Mujeeb gave a big blow by dismissing Shadab.
