Of the conditions in Galle, Ashton Egger said, ‘It was unbelievable. The ground here is a paradise for spinners. But I have played a long time now and I have been hurt many times. It was disappointing to sit there and watch the ball spin on the first day. But after that I started recovering very fast and focused only on trying to improve my skills. I think if I had been in the Test XI, there would have been a very good chance.
