ICC ODI Rankings 2023: Despite India’s Asia Cup win, Pakistan remains number one in ODIs. Despite an emphatic 10-wicket title win in the Asia Cup final against Sri Lanka, the Indian team has not been able to reach the top of the ICC ODI rankings.

They are Currently in Second Place in The ODI Rankings:-

Pakistan has again regained the top position in the ODI rankings. Although Team India also has 115 points equal to Pakistan, it is currently in second place in the ODI rankings.

Pakistan, which was out of the race for the Asia Cup final after losing the Super-4 match against Sri Lanka, despite its poor performance in the Asia Cup, got the benefit of losing the ODI series 2-3 with Australia’s defeat at the hands of South Africa in the fifth ODI. He became number one again.

But despite winning the Asia Cup final against Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in just 6.1 overs, Team India’s hopes of becoming the world’s number one ODI team suffered a setback due to the 6-run defeat at the hands of Bangladesh in the Super-4.

How can Australia become the world’s number-one ODI team again?

After losing the ODI series against South Africa, Australia now has less chances of becoming the number one ODI team in the world before the start of ICC World Cup 2023.

However, if Australia wins the ODI series against India 3-0, then it can replace Pakistan as the world’s number one ODI team.

How can Team India become the number one ODI team?

To become number one, Team India will have to defeat Australia in the first match of the ODI series and by doing so, it will become the number one ODI team in place of Pakistan.

But if India loses the ODI series 2-1 to Australia, then Babar Azam’s team will remain the number one ODI team.

If Team India becomes the number one team in ODI, then Team India led by Rohit Sharma will become the number one team in the world in all three formats. India is already the number one team in Test and T20.
