He got into a heated argument with former cricketers Gautam Gambhir and Naveen-ul-Haq after the match between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on 1 May.

However, after that controversy, Virat Kohli has now written a letter to the Indian Cricket Board. In which he has written that he has not said anything wrong to anyone.
After the escalation of the controversy, the BCCI took major action and deducted 100 percent fees of Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli and 50 percent of Naveen-ul-Haq. In such a situation, it is being said that Kohli has suffered a loss of up to 7 crores.
Kohli wrote a letter to the BCCI saying:-
