Women’s Hundred 2023: The Cricket Australia Pulls Out Healy And Perry From Hundred After Suffering An Injuries

Women’s Hundred 2023: Alyssa Healy and Ellyse Perry have been pulled out of the Women’s Hundred at short notice by Cricket Australia after suffering injuries during the second ODI against Ireland on Tuesday.

They both will not play in the third and final ODI:-

They will both miss the third and final ODI on Friday before returning home for rehabilitation.

Healy kept wicket on the tour of England and Ireland despite a series of injuries but suffered a new fracture on her left index finger on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Perry has a left knee injury that kept her out of the second innings on Tuesday and will require rest for six weeks, according to a CA release.

The Superchargers were dealt another blow when an injured Alyssa Healy was also ruling out of the tournament due to a broken finger.

Her Australian teammate Phoebe Litchfield has been named as her replacement.

Captain Ellyse Perry also ruled out of the competition due to a knee injury:-

Birmingham Phoenix captain Ellyse Perry has also been ruled out of the competition with a knee injury.

Rodrigues will play for the third time with the Superchargers. She had represented them in the last two editions where she scored 249 runs at a strike rate of over 150 in the inaugural season.

She was unfortunate to miss out on scoring opportunities in 2022 as a wrist injury ruled her out of the event after a few matches.

I was very disappointed to have to withdraw last year due to injury so it’s great to be back.

Healy suffered a finger injury during the Ashes, but was part of the team in the series and played in the second ODI against Ireland, while Perry suffering a finger injury during the match against Ireland.

Both have been ruled out of the last ODI and The Hundred. Phoenix has not yet announced a replacement for Perry. Both will begin their non-surgery rehabilitation in Australia.
