Scott Boland WTC: Former India captain Sourav Ganguly has heaped praise on Australian pacer Scott Bland, saying he will trouble India during the World Test Championship final in London. Ganguly said that he dismissed Indian captain Rohit Sharma with a good delivery. He also said that he has been dismissed on a similar ball in the past as well.
Gill could not understand the ball :-
India lost two early wickets after Australia scored 469 runs in the first innings. He said that when you play in England, Australia or New Zealand, you get good deliveries from the front and it was good against Rohit Sharma. He has been out like this many times. Shubman Gill could not understand the ball and the ball went on the off stump.
Boland will trouble India :-
Ganguly further said that Boland is a very useful bowler on wickets like Oval. He said that he would trouble India during the WTC final match. Boland clean bowled Indian opener Shubman Gill in the seventh over to reduce India’s score to 30 for 2.
India’s faltering innings : –
Ganguly further said that India lost a few wickets early, but there are still many more to come. Travis Head and Steve Smith made a good partnership for Australia on the first day. When Australia’s score was 76 runs for 3 wickets. Head and Smith shared an unbeaten 251-run partnership to take Australia to a total of 327 for 3 in 85 overs at the end of the first day.
India needs good partnership :-
Ganguly said that when you bat as a team, not everyone will get runs. Some would get out early, after which the rest of the players would have to score big for the team, which Australia did with Travis Head and Steve Smith. India can lift their first ICC trophy after nearly a decade by defeating Australia in the WTC final in London.
