Indian captain Rohit Sharma made a cool record by scoring a half-century in the fifth match of Asia Cup 2023 against Nepal on Monday.

Rohit Sharma scored his 10th half-century in Asia Cup history. He scored the 49th fifty of his ODI career. The Indian captain completed his half-century by hitting a four over mid-on on the fifth ball of the 13th over of the innings by Sompal Kami. He completed his fifty in 39 balls with the help of 5 fours and three sixes.

Before Rohit Sharma, the record of scoring most half-centuries in Asia Cup was in the name of Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar. Tendulkar scored 9 fifties in Asia Cup history. Former Indian captain Virat Kohli occupies the third place in this list, who has scored 8 half-centuries in Asia Cup history.

In Asia Cup history, the Indian team is at number 1 in terms of winning by 8 or more wickets. India has won by a margin of 8 or more wickets 16 times in Asia Cup history. Pakistan and Sri Lanka jointly occupy second place in this list. Both of them won thrice by a margin of 8 or more wickets. Afghanistan registered a win in this fashion and made their place in the list.
