WBBL: Grace Harris played a stormy innings with her broken bat, created a series of records

WBBL: In the Women’s Big Bash League, Brisbane Heat opener Grace Harris created a stir by scoring 136 runs with the help of 11 sixes in 59 balls in the match played against Perth Scorchers on Sunday (22 October). During the 14th over of Brisbane’s innings, Grace Harris hit a six over mid-wicket despite her bat being broken. While playing this shot, the willow of his bat got uprooted and fell away while its handle remained in his hands. But the surprising thing is that his shot still crossed the boundary. After taking the new bat, Harris hit a four on the next ball.

She told her team that she needed a new bat but before that, she said, “Add this, I will still hit with it.”

With the help of Grace Harris’s strong innings of 136 runs. Brisbane Heat scored a huge score of 229/7 in 29 overs while playing first against Perth. This is the second-highest score of any team in the history of the Women’s Big Bash League.
