Happy Birthday New Zealand Cricketer Kane Williamson Kane Stuart Williamson is a New Zealand professional cricketer who was born on 8 August 1990 in Tauranga, New Zealand.

He is a right-handed, top-order batsman and the captain of the New Zealand cricket team. He currently plays for two domestic cricket teams, the Northern Districts of New Zealand and the IPL team Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Williamson made his home debut in 2007 at the age of 17 in the North District. He also scored his first T20 century against Cape Cobras in the Champions League T20 in September 2014.

From 2011 to 2018 he played in English county cricket back and forth between Gloucestershire and Yorkshire. In 2015 he was signed by Indian Premier League side Sunrisers Hyderabad.

He helped them win the 2016 IPL title with his amazing performance and is the current captain of the team.

He made his ODI debut against India on 10 August, he was dismissed on the 9th ball for no run.

After two months in his match against Bangladesh, he scored his first ODI century and became the youngest player from New Zealand to score an international century.

• Kane was also awarded by NZC as the Player of the Year for the 2014–15 season.
