Ab De Villiers, most afraid of these bowlers: Former South African captain AB de Villiers recently revealed which bowler he faced the most in his career. ABD named Australia’s legendary leg-spinner Shane Warne as the most difficult person to face.

AB de Villiers said :-

AB de Villiers said, “I think Shane Warne.” In 2006 I went to Australia for the first time. My style or technique was not very strong then. There was Warne’s presence and his aura. I was not very experienced. I knew he would get me out. When I faced the first ball, it was like it had nothing to do with it. I mean bowled a very simple ball. But when I looked up, he was looking at me.

ABD added:-

AB de Villiers further said, “Gilli was talking about lifting my bat from behind. I scored 60 runs. That match looked easy. But Warne was smart and a great player. He was quick to find faults and found fault with my technique. He bowled very slow and it came straight. I got out on a straight ball. This weakness remained with me in 2005, 06 and 07. I used to get out on straight balls. The technique of lifting my bat used to come from behind the back and I had to bear the brunt of it.

AB de Villiers loved competing with these bowlers :-

AB de Villiers picked India’s Jasprit Bumrah and Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan among the most dangerous bowlers of the modern era. The former Proteas captain said, “You get experienced with age. Then the challenge started coming from new bowlers like Bumrah. He has always been challenging because he is very competitive. I really liked this competition.

De Villiers further said, “Rashid Khan is also difficult to guess. Many times played big shots against him, but he always came back strongly. That too is in front of you.
