Asia Cup 2023: Pakistan got angry again, made this serious allegation on ACC President Jay Shah

Pakistan, Asia Cup, Jay Shah: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has expressed displeasure over BCCI secretary and Asian Cricket Council chairman Jay Shah releasing the upcoming Asia Cup schedule ahead of the official ceremony in Lahore this week.

The PCB on Wednesday organized a ceremony in Lahore to unveil the Asia Cup trophy and announce the schedule. It was to be attended by former Pakistan cricketers and members of the Cricket Management Committee headed by Zaka Ashraf. Jai Shah announced the program on internet media half an hour before the ceremony.

Pakistan angry Jay Shah: Full schedule released half an hour before instead of 5 minutes :-

“The PCB had told the ACC that it would announce the Asia Cup schedule within five minutes of the start of the ceremony in Lahore, but half an hour before the ceremony at 7:15, Jay Shah made the announcement on the internet media,” a source in the board said.

The source said that this destroyed the importance of the PCB’s function. He said that the PCB has expressed its displeasure to the ACC but told that it was due to a misunderstanding. The source said, “ACC said that there was a misunderstanding due to the time difference but the announcement by Jay Shah was surprising as India’s time is half an hour ahead of Pakistan’s.”

Asia Cup 2023 will start from 30 August :-

The Asia Cup begins on August 30, with Pakistan playing Nepal in the first match in Multan. The India-Pakistan match will be held in Kandy on September 2. The final of the tournament will be played in Colombo on 17 September. India will play its matches in Sri Lanka due to hybrid model.
