AUS vs PAK, 3rd Test: In a video shared by Cricket.com.au, McDonald said, “Warner is probably the greatest player we have ever had across all three formats. There will be loss due to his departure. A lot of people have been picking on him for a while but for us internally we have seen what his value is.
His presence strengthens the team. This is the reason why we have been continuously selecting him. He proved that belief very well in the first Test.” The coach further said, ”It can be difficult to replace a player who has a strike rate of 70 and an average of 45 in Tests.”
