Bangladesh will face PNG in the group game of the high-stakes final, Bangladesh and Papua New Guinea have entered to play in their final match of the first round of Group B with an entry into the Super 12.
Defeated by Scotland in their opening match, and intimidated by Oman at the start of their second, Bangladesh’s hopes of making the Super 12 round depend on a comprehensive performance against PNG at the Oman Cricket Academy Ground.
Bangladesh is third in the four-team table with two points from Oman in terms of run rate. If they lose, they are out of the tournament. Even if they win on Thursday, their net run rate will be tested considering that three teams could end up with four points each.

They made the change in the top final game, but the openers are yet to click together to maximize the powerplay. Shakib Al Hasan’s form in the middle order is certain, but he could have hit more at the death. Although they cannot change their XI, the batting order may change.

Charles Amini:- “It’s probably the biggest opportunity we’ve had so far. This will be our first Test as a team against one of the best T20 teams. Although they will be playing their first. The games were lost, they’re still a good team, Scotland wriggled in the first game, and we’re pretty sure we can do the same.”
Shakib Al Hasan:- “I have to give very excellent to the allies, the way they manage to play cricket in addition to adverse conditions. They played good cricket. As a Test-playing country, we have a lot of expectations. We try We do win but it’s not always predictable. When we beat big teams, they probably feel like that. That’s the cricket for you.“
