Big Bash League (BBL) team Melbourne Stars wicketkeeper Sam Harper was taken to hospital after suffering a head injury during a training session at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Friday.
Harper was conscious after suffering a head injury and is in stable condition. He was taken to hospital in an ambulance where he would undergo scans overnight. Harper suffered the injury during a practice session in preparation for Friday’s match against the Sydney Sixers at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Melbourne Stars said in the statement :-
“Sam Harper suffered a head injury while batting in training at the MCG this evening and was later taken to hospital,” the Melbourne Stars said in a statement.
“We ask that you respect their privacy at this time. The club will provide further updates upon receiving information.” Meanwhile, according to ‘ESPNcricinfo‘ news, Harper was attempting to play a ‘cross-bat’ shot when the ball hit his chin, causing a major cut.

Melbourne Stars performed well this season :-
The Melbourne Stars team led by Glenn Maxwell has performed well in the ongoing BBL season. The team has played a total of 7 matches so far, out of which they won four and lost three.
