BCCI: Bumrah and Siraj strike as they pick a wicket apiece.

Pacers Umesh, Bumrah, and Siraj picked up a wicket apiece as County XI post 44/3 at lunch. They trail Indians by 267 runs.

The Indians ended Day 1 at 306/9 with Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj being the two unbeaten batsmen. Indians were bowled out for 311 on Day 2. Bumrah, Siraj, and Umesh Yadav have picked up a wicket each to leave County Select XI on 44/3 at lunch on Day 2.

The Indian cricket team had a fine start to their three-day warm-up game against County Select XI as KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja had a field day. After losing their top three early, Rahul presented a case for himself ahead of the start of the Test series against England as he scored a brilliant century. After Rahul peeled off an entertaining century and Ravindra Jadeja scored a scintillating 75, the former retired.

Day 2 awaits India bowlers to come up with all guns blazing ahead of the upcoming Test series. It’s time for the likes of Mohd Shami, Ishant Sharma, Shardul Thakur, and Umesh Yadav to sharpen their bowling performance after they failed to deliver in the WTC Final. On Day 1 KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja come up with promising signs with the bat.

Virat Kohli did not take part in the three-day practice match due to injury, the Indian captain is out practicing in the nets at lunchtime on Day 2 of the match against County Select XI.
