IPL 2024, Jay Shah: The Board of Control for Cricket in India i.e. BCCI has announced only half the schedule of IPL 2024 due to the Lok Sabha elections to be held in the country this year. BCCI was keeping its eyes on the announcement of the dates of Lok Sabha elections, so that it can organize the 17th season of IPL in the country.

The entire season of IPL 2024 will be organized in India only :-

Although in the meantime some reports had come out in which it was said that half of the IPL 2024 season could be organized in UAE, but as soon as the dates of Lok Sabha elections were announced on Saturday, March 17, BCCI put an end to all these speculations. Gave. Jay Shah confirmed that this year also the entire season of IPL will be organized in India.

This will happen only for the second time in IPL history :-

This is the second time that BCCI will organize the entire IPL season in the country between the Lok Sabha elections. Earlier in 2019, the board had done this for the first time. Whereas in 2014, half the season was played in India and half in UAE and in 2009 this league was played in South Africa.

Jai Shah has told this information to The Indian Express. Jay Shah said, “The entire IPL will take place in India only. BCCI is working on the complete schedule and will make it public soon.”

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah ‘s big announcement regarding IPL 2024

2024 Lok Sabha elections will be held in seven phases:-

Let us tell you, Lok Sabha elections will be held in seven phases, which will start from April 19 and the counting of votes will take place on June 4. Let us tell you that BCCI had to face a similar situation during the 2019 general elections but the board successfully organized the IPL in India.

So far, the schedule of only 21 matches of IPL 2024 has been announced. The first match of the tournament will be played between defending champions Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore on March 22, while the last match of the ongoing schedule is on April 7.
