BCCI, red-ball cricket: BCCI Secretary Jay Shah made it clear on Wednesday, February 14 that India’s ‘Centrally Contracted’ players will compulsorily play in the domestic red ball tournament and the board will not tolerate any excuse.

However, Shah said that the participation of players in these domestic tournaments will be as per the guidance of the National Cricket Academy.

Everyone has to play, otherwise, the chairman of the selection committee has given me his suggestions and I am going to give him the freedom to take his decisions independently.”
