BCCI Secretary’s big announcement, now ‘Centrally Contracted’ players will have to play domestic red-ball cricket

BCCI, red-ball cricket: BCCI Secretary Jay Shah made it clear on Wednesday, February 14 that India’s ‘Centrally Contracted’ players will compulsorily play in the domestic red ball tournament and the board will not tolerate any excuse.

Jay Shah told PTI :-

Jay Shah told PTI, “He has already been informed over the phone and I am also going to write a letter that you should play red-ball cricket if the chairman of selectors, your coach and your captain are asking for it.” will be.”

However, Shah said that the participation of players in these domestic tournaments will be as per the guidance of the National Cricket Academy.

Shah further said, “Whatever advice we get from the NCA – let’s say someone’s body is not able to handle both white-ball and red-ball cricket – so we don’t want to impose anything in that regard. Everyone has to play, otherwise, the chairman of the selection committee has given me his suggestions and I am going to give him the freedom to take his decisions independently.”
