Ben Stokes, Mark Wood, and Chris Woakes return for T20 World Cup 2022

Ben Stokes has been recalled to England’s 15-man squad for the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia. But he will sit out of Pakistan’s last seven-match tour. Also, his fellow World Cup selections Chris Woakes and Mark Wood are among the notable comebacks in a wide 19-player squad that will be out against Pakistan.

Five uncapped players were named in the 19-man squad for the preceding Pakistan tour.

Butler has recovered from a calf injury

In place of Jason Roy, Lancashire opener Phil Salt has been assigned to the team. However, Jonny Bairstow has been selected as Butler’s opening partner. Stokes, Wood, and Woakes did not play a single T20 event this year
