Brendan Taylor will Retire From International Cricket

Zimbabwe wicketkeeper-batsman Brendan Taylor has announced that he will retire after the ODI against Ireland in Belfast on Monday (13 September).

Brendan Taylor made his debut in 2004. He played 34 Tests, 204 ODIs and 45 T20Is. After which he became one of the finest cricketers of Zimbabwe. Before his last international assignment as a player against Ireland, Brendan Taylor has a chance to finish as Zimbabwe’s leading run-getter in the 50-over format (currently 109 runs behind Andy Flower). With 11 centuries in his account, the 34-year-old is already the country’s leading century scorer in the format.

Brendan Taylor is the fourth highest run-scorer for Zimbabwe in Tests. Who has scored 2320 runs in 34 matches. And Hamilton is third in T20Is behind Masakadza and Sean Williams.

Brendan Taylor announced on Sunday that tomorrow is my last match for my beloved country :

Brendan said in a Twitter post on Sunday that “with a heavy heart I announce that tomorrow is my last match for my beloved country.” “17 years of extreme highs and extreme lows. And I wouldn’t change that for the world.

“It’s taught me to be humble. Always remind myself how lucky I was to be in the position I was in. Wearing the badge with pride and leaving everything on the field. My goal was always to leave the team in one In a better shape than when I first came back in 2004, I hope I did.”
