Dubai, Jan 13 (PTI) The ICC has had to reschedule the Group C schedule of the Under-19 World Cup 2022 due to Afghanistan reaching the West Indies late.
“After obtaining the necessary visas for travel, the Afghanistan team will reach the West Indies and complete the quarantine period,” the ICC said in a statement.
The ICC Tournament Technical Committee has approved the change in the schedule. The committee includes ICC Tournament Head Chris Tetley, ICC Senior Event Manager Fawaz Baksh, Tournament Director Roland Holder and West Indies Cricket Board representatives Alain Wilkins and Russell Arnold.

“We delighted that the Afghanistan team secured the necessary visas. And will be participating in the tournament,” Tetley said.
He said, “We have changed the schedule of Group C so that all the matches can be held in the stipulated time. We would like to thank all the contesting members for their cooperation.”
