Cricket Australia appointed George Bailey as the chairman of the national selection committee in place of Trevor Hohns
There has been a big change in Cricket Australia ahead of the T20 World Cup to be held last of this year. Former Australia captain George Bailey has been selected as the chairman of the national selection committee Of Australia. George Bailey will replace Trevor Hohns. Cricket Australia has issued a statement and saying that George Bailey will be chief selector in place of Trevor Hohns
George Bailey was selected on the selection committee in February this year. The 38-year-old George Bailey’s first big challenge will be to select the team for this year’s T20 World Cup which will be started last of this year.
Under his leadership, the selection committee will select the squad for their home Ashes series and the tour of the subcontinent countries.

In a statement to Cricket Australia, Bailey said: “I would like to thank Trevor Hohns for his incredible work for Cricket Australia, who has contributed to the success of Australian cricket over a long period of time. Also helped me and as a captain when I was playing for the country.
Cricket Australia in trouble
Cricket Australia has seen many big controversies recently. Cricket Australia announced a 23-member squad for the tour of West Indies and Bangladesh last month. But seven big players withdrew their names from both these tours due to the bad effect on mental health due to the bio bubble.
