The 2nd season of the Lanka Premier League is going to start from 30 July to 22 August. This information has been given from Sri Lanka Cricket. The first season of this tournament was held in November last, in which 5 teams took part. All the players from all over the world showed an exciting game here.

The first season of LPL was held at Bio Bubble Environment. However, this time due to Covid-19, the organizers of the Lanka Premier League will prepare the outline of the tournament only after discussing it with the Ministry of Health. The first season of LPL was well-liked by the audience. This is the reason that Sri Lanka Cricket has decided to organize this time in July-August.

Significantly, this time due to coronavirus, the 14th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) had to be postponed midway. Many players were found to be infected with Coronavirus, after which the BCCI took this decision. The Corona infection reached the players despite a tough bio bubble. In such a situation, there is talk of organizing this tournament abroad.

Arjun de Silva, chairman of Sri Lanka Cricket’s management committee, said, “We have found a suitable window for organizing this year’s season, while we are currently working on finalizing other details of the tournament.”
