After Australia beat England by 43 runs in the Second Test at Lord’s, an Australian daily mocked the English cricket team.

He was labeled a ‘crybaby’ with a picture of Ben Stokes near the new ball. After this the English captain replied.
Ben Stokes responded to this headline given by the Australian newspaper, saying, “It’s definitely not me, how long have I been bowling with the new ball.”

Runout sparks debate on the spirit of cricket:-
The spirit of cricket sparked a debate after Australia’s goalkeeper Alex Carey ran out English batsman Jonny Bairstow after Bairstow had stepped on to treat the ball as complete.
But it was not so. Australia did not withdraw the appeal and the third umpire had no hesitation in giving Bairstow out.
It was a pivotal moment in the game, as it enabled Australia to continue their wicket-taking effort at one end and win the match by 43 runs, despite a breathtaking 155 from Stokes.
McCullum and Stokes agreed that technically Bairstow was out, but that Stokes would have backed down if he appealed for the dismissal.

Stokes responded by saying, “Is that the way I want to win? The answer is no for me.”
Australia had to face the wrath of the spectators throughout the match. Australian players were heckled by members of the MCC as they walked through the Long Room at Lord’s.

Ben Stokes was the star in the second Test match as he played a brilliant innings. Not only did he score a brilliant century, but it was also quite explosive. Stokes hit 9 sixes and 9 fours during his innings.
