Asia Cup 2022: The Former Indian captain Virat Kohli will return to the field after the break and will start practice in Mumbai before the Asia Cup, the Indian team has returned for the upcoming Asia Cup T20 cricket.

Virat was on break for the last 3 weeks:-

Kohli was on a break for the last 3 weeks and was also rested from the just-concluded tour of the West Indies.

According to information received from sources close to Virat Kohli, he will start net practice in Mumbai this week to prepare for the Asia Cup.

According to a source, Kohli will start training this week at the MCA Indoor Academy in Bandra Kurla Complex. It is worth noting that Kohli’s residence in Mumbai is in the Worli Onkar Building, which is just 20 minutes away from the MCA Academy in BKC.

This is the reason why Kohli has decided to practice at BKC Academy. The source further added that Kohli is already following his physical training at the gym located in his apartment.

The National selectors announce the Indian team:-

The national selectors on Monday announced the Indian squad for the Asia Cup starting in the UAE on August 27. In this team, Virat Kohli has returned to the Indian team along with vice-captain KL Rahul.

After battling with his form for a long time, Virat Kohli had decided to take a break from cricket after the tour of England.

Be it his childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma or Indian cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar, all have offered to help Kohli get out of bad form.

I’m not saying it will help him but it might. My advice to him especially with regards to the off-stump line can help.”

Virat Kohli had scored only 11 and 20 in the fifth and final Test against England at Edgbaston and his poor form continued in T20s as well, where he managed only 12 runs in two innings.

In such a situation, he will have to improve his performance in the Asia Cup. Virat Kohli is also on the list of the highest run scorers in the Asia Cup.
