Asia Cup 2023: Ind-Pak Asia Cup Matches Can Be Played in Dambulla. A big update has come out regarding Asia Cup 2023.
In this mega event of Asia, India, and Pakistan will be played in Sri Lanka only. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have agreed on a hybrid model.
The complete schedule of the Asia Cup will be released on July 14. India vs Pakistan matches can be played in Dambulla, Sri Lanka.

The ind-Pak match can be held in Sri Lanka’s Dambulla:-
India and Pakistan will face each other twice in the Asia Cup and if both countries qualify for the Asia Cup final, it will also be their third match to be played in Dambulla.
There is every possibility of two matches of India vs Pakistan being held in Dambulla. If the teams qualify for the final, a third match may also take place at that venue.
After much deliberation, BCCI secretary Jay Shah and PCB Chief Zaka Ashraf met in Durban to discuss the upcoming schedule of the continental tournament and considered Sri Lanka as the venue.
How has been the record of India and Pakistan on this ground?
The Indian cricket team has so far played 18 ODIs in Dambulla, winning 11 of them. While Pakistan has played a total of 13 matches on this ground so far, out of which it has won a total of 4 matches. In such a situation, it has to be seen who will win here.
What did the PCB chief say?
Ashraf told Pakistani media, “This is a good start and there will be more such meetings. We have agreed to hold more meetings and improve relations. This is a good start.”
On the ongoing dispute over the hosting of the tournament for the last several months, the two sides decided to move forward with mutual consent.

Earlier, the then PCB chief Najam Sethi had claimed after initial objection that the PCB was happy to accept the ACC’s proposed hybrid model. But things took a turn for the worse when Zaka Ashraf took over the PCB from Sethi.
