After the meeting held in Durban, the PCB has agreed to play under the hybrid model. Meanwhile, some such news appeared in the Pakistani media.

In which it was said that BCCI Secretary Jay Shah will visit Pakistan during Asia Cup 2023 (Jay Shah Pakistan Travel). However, Jay Shah himself has denied this news.

Jay Shah told News18 CricketNext on Wednesday morning, “I do not agree on anything. It has been mis-communicated. Possibly done intentionally or mischievously. I will not visit Pakistan.

BCCI secretary Shah and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Zaka Ashraf met on the sidelines of the ongoing ICC meeting in Durban where they discussed the Asia Cup and the 50-over World Cup.

It is being widely reported in the Pakistani media that Shah has accepted Ashraf’s invitation to visit Pakistan for the Asia Cup ties, which is completely untrue.

Shah or anyone from BCCI will travel to Pakistan:-

Arun Dhumal, the BCCI’s CEC representative at the ICC, has also denied that Shah or anyone from the BCCI will travel to Pakistan.

Dhumal told News18 CricketNext, “Whatever reports are there, they are completely false.”

PCB and BCCI have agreed on a ‘hybrid system’ for the Asia Cup tournament.

Under this hybrid model, Pakistan will host four matches while Sri Lanka will host nine matches including all the knockouts and the final. There has been no change in this system as well.
