Asia Cup 2023: The Asia Cup will be organized in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka may host the upcoming Asia Cup 2023, while the Asian Cricket Council is set to shift the tournament from Pakistan.

Till now only India had refused to go to Pakistan, but now two more countries have joined it and will not visit Pakistan for the Asia Cup.

A final decision on the venue of the tournament is expected by the end of this month with Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan backing a move to host the event in the island nation.

He May Boycott this tournament:-

Pakistan’s participation in the tournament is still unclear, as reports have indicated that it may boycott the tournament.

While the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) continues to be interested in having the tournament on its soil, the BCCI is receiving support from other ACC member nations, making the decision seem a formality for the time being.

The PCB had proposed a hybrid model for hosting the Asia Cup, where India’s matches would be hosted in Dubai alone, after the BCCI refused to travel to Pakistan for the tournament citing lack of clearance from the government.

Significantly, this year the ODI World Cup will also be playing in the hosting of India. BCCI is engaged in finalizing its entire schedule.

Meanwhile, news is also coming out that the PCB wants the BCCI to give a written assurance. That after this the Champions Trophy will be hosted by Pakistan in the year 2025 and India will be coming to Pakistan for this. But there was no response from the BCCI regarding this.
