Asian Cricket Council: Jay Shah will be the President of ACC till 2024, the decision taken in the annual meeting, the Annual General Meeting of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) was held on Saturday.
The Many Important Learnings Taken:-
Several important learnings were taking in this meeting. It was deciding in the meeting that only Jay Shah would continue as the ACC President till the year 2024.

Asian Cricket Council: Asian Cricket Council wrote in its tweet – All the members of ACC have unanimously decided that Jay Shah’s tenure as ACC President should be extended till 2024.
The Five Boards in the Asian Cricket Council:-
- The Asian Cricket Council has five permanent members. These include India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan.
- Apart from these, cricket boards of many other countries including Nepal, Oman, UAE, Bhutan, Hong Kong, Thailand, China, Bahrain are part of this council.
- Jay Shah took over as the President of the Asian Cricket Council at the end of January last year in 2021.
- He is the youngest administrator to be electing as the President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).
- He replaced Bangladesh Cricket Board chief Najmul Hasan.
Asia Cup to be played in Sri Lanka:-
Asian Cricket Council: It has been decided in this meeting that Qatar Cricket Association will now be giving the status of a full member of the council.
Earlier it was giving only associate status. Along with this, the Asian Cricket Council has also decided about the Asia Cup-2022.

The Asia Cup will be playing in Sri Lanka this year and it will be in T20 format. This will be a big opportunity for India to prepare before the T20 World Cup.
