AUS vs WI 2022: Australia Marcus Stoinis ruled out of West Indies T20I series The 33-year-old Australia national cricket team’s fast bowling all-rounder Stoinis has reportedly been ruled out of the upcoming two-match T20I series against the West Indies national cricket team.
Two-match T20I series between West Indies:-
The first match of the two-match T20I series between Australia and West Indies will be played on Wednesday, 5 October at the Carrara Oval, and the second match will be played on Friday, 7 October at the Brisbane Cricket Ground, Woolungbba.

Cricket Australia (CA) has already announced the squad for the West Indies T20 series. However, Cricket West Indies (CWI) is yet to name the team for the two-match T20I series.
Star all-rounder Marcus Stoinis was setting to make a comeback in the team along with opener David Warner, all-rounder Mitchell Marsh and pacer Mitchell Starc.
Who missed the recently concluded three-match T20I series against the India national cricket team.
Stoinis was ruled out of the West Indies T20s due to a side strain:-
Star all-rounder Marcus Stoinis, who was originally naming in the squad for the West Indies T20Is, has been ruled out of the T20I series. As he is recovering from a side strain.
“Stoinis has not traveled with Australia to the Gold Coast ahead of the first match of the two-match series against West Indies on Wednesday.
ESPNcricinfo is quoting as saying that he has remained in Perth to continue his recovery.
Notably, Stoinis, who has been a mainstay of Australia’s T20I middle-order over the years, suffering an injury during an ODI against the New Zealand national cricket team on 8 September.
Also, he has been suffering from side strains on both sides of his body regularly for the past three years.
