Australian Fast Bowler Mitchell Starc was Sent For X-Rays After A Middle Finger Injury

Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc was sent for X-rays after suffering a middle finger injury. Teammate Nathan Lyon admitted after playing on Boxing Day that the pacer’s middle finger injury “doesn’t seem big”.

Starc was sent for X-rays:-

Close friend and teammate Nathan Lyon has admitted Starc’s inclusion in the rest of the Test is in doubt after the fast bowler sustained a middle finger injury.

The 32-year-old walked off the field during the final session of the first day of the second NRMA Insurance Test against South Africa after injuring himself while attempting a catch.

Mitchell didn’t face incarceration:-

Despite how it appeared on television replays, an Australian team spokesman said Starc had not suffered a dislocation, but the concussion was not entirely clear on Monday evening.

Starc was bowling with gusto after a long time, but was unable to play in subsequent games, as he needed to have his finger taped to protect the stitches holding the cut together.

International Cricket Council rules do not allow bowlers to tape their hands for injuries sustained at the start of a match.

Starc suffered this latest injury during the Test:-

But with Starc suffering this latest injury during the Tests, it is expected that he will be allowed to bowl with his finger taped if he wants to.
