Azam with An Impressive 196 in the 2nd Test:-

Azam was at his finest during March with a scintillating 196 in the second Test against Australia in Karachi.

As an unassailable champion, he defeated West Indies captain Craig Brathwaite and Australia captain Pat Cummins for the award and also became the first person to claim the ICC title.

In the recent home series against Australia, Babar Azam scored the third-highest run-getter with only Usman Khawaja and Abdullah Shafiq.

In his five visits to the center, he scored 390 runs at an average of 78, including two fifties and a century. The highlight of the series was his match-saving 196 in the second innings of the second Test at Karachi.

Babar Azam started with his exceptional structure in the ODI series, playing the inevitable thump in the opening two matches.

In the first ODI, he scored 57 in Pakistan’s 88-run defeat, before scoring an impressive 118 to guide Pakistan to a six-wicket victory in the latter match.

Babar Azam is best in both formats:-

The former West Indies star and a member said, “Babar Azam won this award not only because of the significant brilliance of runs he scored during the Pakistan vs Australia tour.

Rather was able to convert success with the bat across all formats from Test series to ODIs.” Voting Panel Darren Ganga.

“Importantly, being able to shoulder the burden of expectation as a captain and batsman is a great achievement for Pakistan to host the Australian team after 24 years.”

Rachael Hayne’s biggest Positive for Aus in 2022

Haynes’ month was equally remarkable as he guaranteed women’s respect in front of England spinner Sophie Ecclestone and South African opener Laura Wolvaardt.

Haynes’ commitment to the top of the Australian batting line-up was perhaps the biggest positive for Australia during the 2022 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in New Zealand, which they won for the seventh time in April.

In eight ODIs in March, Haynes scored 429 runs at an average of 61.28. Including a comprehensive 130 against England in Australia’s opening match of the competition.

She was the side’s top scorer in March and was bettered by Alyssa Healy before the end of the competition.

Rachael Haynes backbone of the Game For Australia:-

Former Ireland cricketer and voting panel member Claire Shillington was full of praise for Haynes’ contribution, saying. “Rachael Haynes was the backbone of almost every World Cup game for Australia.

Constantly used to set the platform for him and set huge totals, or chase down any score he put up. She was paramount in reaching the finals.”

“He set the tone for Australia with a big century in his first game of the tournament. His contribution throughout the World Cup has prepared other batsmen to move on. Haynes is a great batsman and a leader in the women’s game.”
