Captain Heather Knight made a big statement on discrimination in cricket The report and recommendations of the Independent Commission for Equity in Cricket (ICEC) have been released this week.

The ICEC report found that racism, sexism and class-based discrimination exist within the sport. Knight was among 4,000 people to give evidence to the commission for a 317-page report titled “Holding up a mirror to cricket”.

She said that the change in attitudes has encouraged her and she will encourage young girls to take up the sport. Knight said, “There are still instances where this is going on, but I think a lot has changed.
