PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi recently confirmed the venue selection during a press conference in Lahore. He also expressed confidence in hosting a successful tournament, stating, “We have sent the schedule of matches to be held in Pakistan for the Champions Trophy.
We Will Also Share The Stadium Update Plan With Them
The ICC’s security team was here and we had a very good meeting. They saw the arrangements here and we will also share the stadium update plan with them. We are constantly in touch with the ICC. We are making every effort to host a good tournament.”
The question of India’s participation remains a major talking point. Recent media reports have suggested that India might decline to travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. However, there has been no official confirmation from either the BCCI or the PCB regarding this matter.
The Tournament Was Scheduled To Be Held in Pakistan:-
It’s worth noting that India did not tour Pakistan for the 2023 Asia Cup. The tournament was scheduled to be held in Pakistan, but India opted to play their matches in Sri Lanka under a hybrid model.
