Gaikwad got hurt while fielding. It happened during the 15th over, on the fourth ball. The physio rushed onto the field to check on him.

His 54-ball knock included 10 fours and 3 sixes, with a strike rate of nearly 100! This came after his brilliant century (108*) against the Lucknow Super Giants in the previous match.

Talking about the match itself, Chennai batted first and put up a massive 212 runs on the board in their 20 overs. Gaikwad, as mentioned, was the top scorer. They also had a valuable contribution from Daryl Mitchell, who smashed a quickfire 52 off just 32 balls.
Hyderabad, chasing a mammoth target, were bundled out for a mere 134 runs in 18.5 overs.
