Covid-19 positive cases are coming to the fore:-

The Medical Advisor for Commonwealth Games (CWG 2022) has acknowledged that about a dozen Covid-19 positive (CWG 2022 Covid cases) cases are being reported from the sports village every day.

In view of the situation, the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) concerned has also issued an advisory for the Indian contingent to stay inside.

Peter Harcourt, the CGF’s medical adviser, revealed. That the city of Birmingham is reporting “dozens” of cases a day after 1,400 athletes arrived. Harcourt said, “We are in the middle of a really difficult time in the pandemic.

We had about 1,200 to 1,400 athletes:-

We have about a dozen or more cases a day. And we had around 1,200 to 1,400 athletes, so you have to consider that.”

As per the reports, many Covid-19 cases are being reported every day. Peter Harcourt, the CGF’s medical adviser, revealing that after 1,400 athletes arrived in the English city of Birmingham in 2022. “a dozen” cases were being reported a day.
