DCW vs UPW: Delhi Capitals got their second win in WPL 2023. The fifth match of WPL was played between Delhi Capitals and UP Warriors at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai.
Delhi beat Alyssa Healy’s UP by 42 runs:-
In this match, Delhi, captained by Meg Lanning, defeated Alyssa Healy’s UP by 42 runs.

Batting first, Delhi Capitals scored 211 runs after losing the toss. In response to which UP Warriors could score only 169 runs.
Delhi Capitals beat UP Warriors by 42 runs. This is Delhi’s second consecutive win in this tournament. With this, Delhi occupies the second number in the WPL table.
On the other hand, UP Warriors got this first defeat, before that they defeated Gujarat in the match. During this, Delhi scored 211 runs due to the brilliant batting of Meg Lanning and Jess Johnson.
UP team Tahila McGrath scored an unbeaten 90 runs:-
In response, UP team Tahila McGrath scored an unbeaten 90 runs. Despite this, UP was able to score only 169 runs in 20 overs.
Along with this, Jess Johnson did wonders with the ball as well and took 3 wickets.
Delhi Capitals registered their first win in WPL by defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore by 60 runs in their first match.
Both the batting and bowling of Delhi Capitals were excellent in this match. During this, Captain Meg Lanning and Shefali Verma made a great partnership as an opener.
On the other hand, UP Warriors registered a thrilling win by defeating Gujarat Giants in the second header played on Sunday.
