Deepti Sharma became the first female Indian cricketer to reach 100 T20I wickets. Veteran all-rounder Deepti Sharma on Wednesday became the first Indian international player to complete 100 wickets in T20 International cricket.

West Indies at the Women’s T20 World Cup in Cape Town:-

Deepti achieved the feat during India’s second group match against West Indies in the Women’s T20 World Cup in Cape Town.

Deepti completed 100 wickets by dismissing Eli Fletcher (0) in the last over of West Indies’ innings.

The 24-year-old returned impressive figures of 3 for 15 as she helped India restrict West Indies Women down to 118 for 6.

Her other two scalps in the match included Stafanie Taylor (42) and Shemaine Campbell (30).

In the men’s circuit, Yuzvendra Chahal is currently the leading wicket-taker with 91 wickets.

West Indies off-spinner Anisa Mohammed:-

West Indies off-spinner Anisa Mohammed (125) currently holds the record for most wickets in women’s T20Is.

Anisa is followed by Pakistan’s Nida Dar (121) and Australia’s Ellyse Perry (120) at the second and third places respectively.
