CSK vs GT: Dhoni Said This About His Retirement After Winning The Fifth IPL Title. After the five-wicket victory against Gujarat (CSK vs GT), Mahendra Singh Dhoni said this on his retirement.
Dismissing speculations of retirement, Dhoni said:-
After leading Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to a fifth title, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni) said that he will return again in the next season to give a gift to the fans for their love.

From the beginning of this season there was speculation that this would be Dhoniβs last season. The way the audience showered him with love at every ground, the possibility of this seemed to be stronger.
When Dhoni was asked after the five-wicket win in the final:-
After a five-wicket win over Gujarat Titans in the final, when Dhoni was asked if this was his last season, he said, βLooking at the circumstances, this is the best time for me to retire.β
It is very easy for me to say that I am leaving now but it is difficult to work hard for the next nine months and come back and play one more season.
I should do something for them too:-
He said, βThe body has to cooperate. The way the Chennai fans have showered me with love, it will be my gift to them that I play one more season. With the love and passion they have shown, I should also do something for them.

Dhoni said, βThis is the last phase of my career. It started from here and the whole stadium was chanting my name. It happened in Chennai as well but I will come back and play as much as I can.
