ENG vs NZ 2nd Test: England announce playing XI before second test, Jack Leach returns

ENG vs NZ 2nd Test: England have announced their playing XI ahead of the second Test against New Zealand to be played at Trent Bridge from Friday. There has been no change in the England team that landed in the first Test. Jack Leach, who was ruled out due to injury in the first match, returned.

English cricketer Jack Leach’s return :-

Jack Leach was injured while fielding in the sixth over on the first day of the first Test. He suffered a head injury while trying to stop a boundary, after which he had to leave the field under the concussion rule.

Jack Leach was replaced in the team by Matt Parkinson, who took his first wicket in the second innings against New Zealand. He was the first player in the history of England’s Test cricket to take a wicket as a substitute.

ENG vs NZ 2nd Test: England announced the team 24 hours before the start of the match :-

Once again England has announced the team 24 hours before the start of the match. This means that young Yorkshire batsman Harry Brooke will have to wait longer for his debut.

Brooke had made his place in the England squad on the basis of his excellent batting in the county. England has reposed its trust in the middle-order batsmen of the first Test.

ENG vs NZ 1st Test: England won the first match by 5 wickets :-

Under the leadership of Ben Stokes, England defeated New Zealand by 5 wickets in the first test match. As captain, he started off with a win. The Tests played at Lord’s completely dominated by bowlers. 17 wickets had fallen on the first day of the match.
