Daryl Mitchell scored a century:-

After losing the toss in the match being played between Pakistan and New Zealand, the Kiwi team came out to bat first.

Senior batsman Darryl Mitchell (113) scored a century for New Zealand, while young opener Will Young also played an inning of 86 runs and missed his third career century.

Due to the innings of these two, the team scored 288 runs losing 7 wickets in 50 overs.

Fakhar Zaman snatched the match from the hands of New Zealand:-

Chasing a target of 289 runs, Pakistan got off to a great start as Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq put on 124 runs in 21.2 overs for the first wicket.

The foundation laid by this partnership continued to serve the team well in the future. Due to this, Pakistan achieved it in 48.3 overs. Fakhar Zaman scored 117 runs for the team.
