Fast bowler Jofra Archer returns to England squad for South Africa ODIs. Archer has been included in the England squad for the first time since March 2021 after being selected in the ODI squad against South Africa.
Jofra has been troubled by an elbow injury for a long time:-
The fast bowler has been troubled by an elbow injury for a long time and has undergone surgery to rectify the problem.

Archer had also suffered a stress fracture in his back in May this year. He last played for England in the T20I series against India.
ECB said through a media release:-
“He is recovering well from the elbow injury and is expected to return to international cricket next month in South Africa,” the ECB said via a media release.
Left-arm fast bowler Reece Topley has also been included in the squad, having injured his ankle during fielding drills ahead of their T20 World Cup debut against Afghanistan.
“Topley is recovering well from his left ankle injury and is well on his way to being ready for the three-match series,” the release said.
Batsman Harry Brook has also got a place in the ODI team:-
Yorkshire batsman Harry Brook has also got a place in the ODI team. He is already a regular part of England’s T20I team and was player of the series in the recently concluding Test series in Pakistan.
Another notable inclusion is Ben Duckett, with the southpaw opening batsman returning to the ODI set-up for the first time since 2016.
The first two matches of the three-match series will be playing in Bloemfontein on 27 and 29 January and the final match will be played in Kimberley on 1 February.
