Virat Kohli, who once ruled the ICC rankings in all three formats, is now slipping down due to his poor form. Kohli has lost a place in the ODI rankings released by the International Cricket Council on Wednesday.
Dropped out of top 3 in ICC rankings for the first time since 2015 :-
He has slipped from third to fourth position. This is the first time since 2015 that King Kohli has dropped out of the top 3 in the ODI rankings. This fall in Kohli’s ranking has taken place after a disappointing performance against England.
While Kohli did not play the first ODI due to a groin injury, he could only add 16 and 17 runs in the second and third ODIs respectively. Apart from ODIs, Kohli has also suffered a lot in Test rankings.
ICC Rankings: Kohli was out of the top 10 for the first time in Tests after 2016 :-
Kohli has dropped out of the top 10 for the first time since 2016 in the Test rankings released by the ICC after the one-off Test against England. In the Edgbaston Test, only 31 runs came from Kohli’s bat in both the innings and India lost the match by 7 wickets. Kohli is ranked 12th in the ICC Test Rankings.
ICC Rankings: In T20 rankings is at 24th position :-
On the other hand, if we talk about his T20 ranking, then he is at 24th position. Even in the T20 series against England, Kohli’s performance was not special. Kohli had scored only 1 and 11 runs in the two matches respectively.

Kohli will not play on West Indies tour :-
At the behest of Virat Kohli, BCCI has given him rest for the West Indies tour. According to the report, this was the last time Kohli had sought rest from the BCCI before the World Cup.
Team India has to play three ODIs and 5 match T20 series on the Windies tour. After this, India has to play a three-match ODI series on the Zimbabwe tour. It is expected that Kohli will also be a part of this tour and he would also like to recover his lost form during this period.
