ICC U19 Women’s T20 WC 2023: The ECB announced the team to represent UAE. The Emirates Cricket Board has today confirmed the squad that will represent the UAE at the upcoming ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup, to be played in South Africa from Saturday 14 January to Sunday 29 January 2023.
The chairman of the selection committee of cricket said:-
Dr. Tayeb Kamali, Chairman of the Selection Committee of Emirates Cricket, said, “The UAE women’s team has continued to demonstrate an admirable approach to team cohesion.

Where all the players complement each other and put in consistent match-winning performances. He has taken advantage of every opportunity to display his positive attitude with growing confidence.
As they now move on to compete in the inaugural ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup, we wish the team a very successful South African tour.
After securing their place in the inaugural tournament through a five-match clean sweep in the Asia Qualifiers played in Malaysia 2022.
Top two teams of the ‘Super Six’ grouping semi-finals:-
UAE will be keen to secure their place in the top three of their group which will see them progress. ‘Super Six’ round of the tournament. After this, the top two teams of the ‘Super Six’ grouping will advance to the semi-finals.
Najeeb Amar, Emirates Cricket Women’s Head Coach said; “UAE women have enjoyed a very successful 2022, and through these successes we are now part of history by competing in the inaugural ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup.
Our collective reward for all the hard work each person has invested. However, we have no intention of resting on these successes.
Our coaching and high-performance teams continue to invest in developing each player, and we will approach each match with a winning mindset.
“Our target is to compete to the best of our abilities, build on those abilities and progress through our group matches to the top three (and) the Super Six.”
