Indian Women’s Cricketer Mithali Raj Retires From All Forms Of International Cricket. The 39-year-old Mithali is the highest run-scorer in women’s ODIs and finished with 7805 runs in the format.
In 89 T20 Internationals, Mithali Raj scored 2364 runs while she scored 699 runs in 12 Test matches. Under Mithali Raj’s leadership, India reached the final of the Women’s ODI World Cup in 2017.

Mithali Raj made her debut in June 1999 and retired as one of the most accomplished cricketers for India. He played his last match for India against South Africa in the World Cup.
India failed to get past the group stage in the World Cup, but Mithali scored 68 off 84, her last for the country.
In an emotional note posted on Twitter, Mithali Raj said that she has given her best for the country.
“I went on a journey wearing India Blues as a little girl because it is the highest honor to represent your country.
The journey was full of ups and downs. Each incident taught me something unique and the last 23 years have been the most fulfilling, challenging, and enjoyable years of my life.
“Today is the day I retire from all forms of international cricket. Every time I stepped on the field, I gave my best with the intention of helping India win. I always gave it to myself to represent the tricolor. I will cherish the missed opportunity.
“I think now is the right time to unveil my playing career as the team is in the hands of some very talented young players and the future of Indian cricket is bright.
I would like to thank the BCCI and Mr. Jay Shah sir (Honorary Secretary, BCCI) for all the support – first as a player and then as the captain of the Indian women’s cricket team.

Mithali wrote in her letter, “It was an honor to lead the team for so many years. It definitely shaped me as a person and hopefully helps shape Indian women’s cricket as well.”
Mithali Raj ended her international career with 7 ODI centuries and 1 Test century. In Tests, he scored 4 fifties, while he scored 64 fifties in ODIs and 17 fifties in T20Is.
